Clustdoc pricing, explained (2026)

Clustdoc pricing has one published number and two quotes. The number is PRO at $190/month, or €190, the same price in both currencies. It buys 3 user seats, 50 new applications per month, 25 GB of storage, and one standard process. Above that, there is no price to look up. Expert brings 5+ seats and 10 processes, Ultimate brings custom limits, and both are "on quote."
For a small firm the question is not what Clustdoc costs. It is whether your work fits inside the PRO box. Here is the box, measured, from Clustdoc's own pricing page as of July 2026.
I am the founder of Portico, which competes with Clustdoc on onboarding and document collection. Not on its compliance features. I have an interest here, and you should read this with that in mind. Every number below is Clustdoc's own, linked in Sources. The section on when Clustdoc is the right buy is genuine. The disclosure is at the bottom.
The published plan, unpacked
| PRO ($190/mo) | Expert (quote) | Ultimate (quote) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| User seats | 3 | 5+ | 10+ |
| Processes | 1 standard | Up to 10 | Custom |
| New applications / month | 50 | 150 | Custom |
| Storage | 25 GB | 50 GB | Custom |
| Billing | Monthly or annual, cancel anytime | Monthly or annual | Annual engagement |
Three limits do the real work in that table:
- One process. A "process" is a reusable workflow, your standardized intake. One is enough when every client walks the same pipeline. Add a second service line with its own workflow and you are in quote territory. That is the most common upgrade trigger, and it deserves plain language: the second process is where Clustdoc's price stops being public.
- Fifty applications a month. An application is one running instance of your process, meaning one client going through intake. Fifty covers a small firm comfortably. A high-volume operation (lettings, admissions, lending) burns through it and needs Expert's 150.
- Three seats. Enough for a small team. Note the shape, though: seats, processes, and applications only scale together by leaving the published tier.
The budgeting rule for Clustdoc: if you have one intake workflow, up to 3 staff, and under 50 new clients a month, the price is $190/month, full stop. If any one of those three is bigger, your real price is a sales conversation. Get the Expert quote before you build anything on the platform.
What the $190 actually buys
Clustdoc's plans share the full feature set; the tiers differ by limits, not features. That $190 buys what makes it the serious choice for regulated intake: ISO 27001 certification, KYC/KYB verification workflows, risk scoring, approval chains, audit trails. The full Clustdoc review covers how those hold up in use. The short version: this is compliance software that collects documents, not document software with a compliance checkbox.
Two caveats come from the pricing page itself. eSignatures and reminders are marked "limited usage" on PRO, and the limits are not published, so ask sales what they are for your volume. The trial is 7 days, shorter than the category's usual 14. Map your process before you start the clock.
The math by firm type
- A 2-partner advisory firm, one intake, ~10 new clients/month: fits PRO with room to spare. $2,280/year. Fit is not the question here. Need is. If none of your intake is regulated, you are paying for ISO certification you do not use.
- A lettings agency, 3 staff, ~80 applications/month: over the application cap. Expert quote required. Budget for it, and get the number in writing before you migrate a single template.
- A compliance-driven lender with KYC on every file: this is who Clustdoc is priced for. $190/month replacing a manual KYC checklist pays for itself on the first prevented error. The alternatives below mostly cannot do this job at all.
Clustdoc against the cheaper category
For non-regulated document collection and onboarding, the same jobs price very differently. Content Snare runs $35 to $119/month (annual) for pure document collection. The Content Snare vs Clustdoc comparison maps that trade in detail. Our own tool covers onboarding, intake forms, e-signatures, and document collection from free (3 active onboardings/month) to $149/month. Every plan carries unlimited team members, metered by workload rather than seats. TaxDome-style practice suites go the other way and bundle intake into a much bigger per-seat contract.
The honest sorting question: is your intake regulated? If yes, Clustdoc's $190 is fair for what KYC workflows and ISO 27001 actually cost to run, and the cheap alternatives are false economy. If no, you are shopping in the wrong aisle, and roughly a third of the price does the job.
When Clustdoc is the right purchase
Playing it straight: for KYC/KYB-driven intake (lending, lettings, admissions, corporate services), Clustdoc is one of the few tools in this price range built for the compliance officer and the client at the same time. Reviewers consistently rate it well (4.7 on Capterra), and its process-instance model maps cleanly onto application-style workflows. Buy it when compliance is a requirement. Take the 7-day trial seriously. Get the Expert quote in writing if a second process is even possible within a year. Pricing surprises are cheaper before migration than after.
Trial-week checklist, since Clustdoc gives you 7 days instead of the usual 14: on day 1, build your real process, not a toy; on day 2, run a colleague through it as a fake client on a phone; on days 3-5, run one real client; on day 6, check the eSignature and reminder limits against your actual monthly volume with sales; on day 7, decide. An unplanned trial expires before the first real client finishes.
Disclosure
As stated up top, we make a competing onboarding tool, and the overlap is document collection and client onboarding, not Clustdoc's compliance layer.
