Partner Program Terms

Last updated: June 10, 2026

1. Overview

The Portico Partner Program ("the Program") allows approved participants ("Partners") to earn commissions by referring new paying customers to Portico. By applying to or participating in the Program, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility and approval

Participation in the Program requires a Portico account and approval from Portico. We review all applications and may approve or decline them at our sole discretion. We are not required to provide a reason for declining an application.

You must be at least 18 years old to participate. By applying, you confirm that you have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.

3. Referral link and attribution

Once approved, you receive a unique referral link. When a visitor clicks your link, a tracking cookie is stored in their browser for 60 days. If that visitor creates a Portico account and later subscribes to a paid plan within the cookie window, the referral is attributed to you.

  • Attribution uses a first-touch model. If a visitor already has an existing referral cookie from another partner, yours will not overwrite it.
  • Referral attribution must happen within 10 minutes of account creation. Retroactive attribution to older accounts is not supported.
  • Each customer account can only be attributed to one partner.

4. Commissions

You earn a 25% recurring commission on each payment made by a referred customer for the first 12 months of their subscription, up to a maximum of 12 billing periods.

  • Commissions are calculated on the gross payment amount processed by our billing provider, Paddle.
  • Portico may adjust the commission rate or duration for individual partners. Any changes apply to future referrals only, not to existing ones.
  • Each commission is subject to a 30-day hold period before it becomes eligible for payout. This protects against chargebacks and refunds.

5. Refunds and clawbacks

If a referred customer receives a full refund, the corresponding commission is clawed back in full. If a partial refund is issued, the clawback is proportional to the refunded amount.

If a referred customer cancels their subscription, commission eligibility ends immediately. No further commissions accrue for that referral after cancellation.

6. Payouts

  • Payouts are processed via PayPal or Wise. You must configure a valid payout method in your partner dashboard.
  • The minimum payout threshold is $50.00 USD. Commissions below this amount accumulate until the threshold is met.
  • Payouts are initiated manually by Portico. We do not guarantee a specific payout schedule, but we aim to process payouts monthly for eligible balances.
  • You are responsible for any taxes owed on partner income in your jurisdiction. Portico does not withhold taxes on partner payouts.

7. Prohibited conduct

The following activities are not permitted and may result in immediate suspension or termination from the Program:

  • Self-referral. Referring yourself, your own team, or accounts you control.
  • Misleading promotion. Making false or exaggerated claims about Portico, its features, or its pricing.
  • Spam. Sending unsolicited emails, messages, or using any other form of spam to promote your referral link.
  • Trademark misuse. Using the Portico name, logo, or brand assets in a way that implies endorsement or partnership without written permission.
  • Cookie stuffing. Using hidden iframes, pop-ups, or automated scripts to set referral cookies without the visitor's knowledge.
  • Paid ads on brand terms. Bidding on Portico brand keywords (for example, "Portico", "portico.run", or variations) in paid search or social advertising.
  • Fraudulent referrals. Creating fake accounts, using stolen payment methods, or any other attempt to generate artificial referrals.

8. Suspension and termination

Portico may suspend or terminate your participation in the Program at any time, with or without cause. Reasons for suspension or termination include, but are not limited to, violation of these terms, suspected fraud, or inactivity.

  • If your account is suspended, commissions stop accruing immediately. Pending commissions in the hold period will not be approved while you are suspended.
  • If your account is terminated for fraud or policy violations, all unpaid commissions are forfeited.
  • If your account is terminated without cause, approved commissions that have cleared the hold period will be paid out.

9. Relationship

You are an independent contractor, not an employee, partner, or agent of Portico. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship. You are not authorized to make commitments or representations on behalf of Portico.

10. Limitation of liability

Portico is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the Program. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount of commissions actually paid to you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify active partners via email. Continued participation in the Program after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Contact

Portico is operated by TOO "Solid Code".
